“Who am I?”

I am the cry of seagulls

Wheeling above the crashing waves

I am the bark of seals

Playing, fighting, laughing on the shore

I am the arc of a dolphin

Leaping its way through the ocean

I am the waves

Silently moving and changing the earth

I am the sea

I am the whisper of trees

Swaying silently in the dark

I am the feeling of moss

Inching peacefully across a fallen log

I am a squirrel

Chattering anxiously to its family

I am the earth

Growing and providing for thousands

I am the forest

I am the bustle of the city

Honking cars in the middle of the night

I am the crush of people

Moving in sync to their respective jobs

I am a traffic jam

Crawling on the highway making you late

I am the lights of the city

Shining at night reminding you why you’re here

I am the city

“Worthy”

Wholly wonderful,

Bold-

This raw vulnerability,

This fearful assertion;

The knowledge that I am beloved:

I’m treasured, admired, and radiant

Delightfully lovely

Brave-

This radical kindness,

This desperate reclamation;

The knowledge that I am worthy:

I’m compassionate, loving, and wild

I can be worthy and imperfect too.
